Although bricks and paving stones are not manufactured specifically for this purpose, they can be used to build retaining walls.If retaining walls are intended for landscaping areas (gardens, parks, courtyards, etc.), it should be borne in mind that the operating conditions will be quite aggressive – frost, snow, rain, etc.

Materials should therefore have a high frost resistance and as low water absorption as possible.

Of the LODES materials, the most suitable materials for supporting the walls would therefore be:

1) Clinker paving;

2) Full facing bricks (flue).
