Maintenance of clinker brick paving in winter

Clinker bricks are a durable and long-lasting surface material, but in winter conditions, they require gentle care to preserve their appearance and functionality for as long as possible.

Here are some recommendations on how to properly maintain clinker brick paving during winter.

Snow removal: regularly clear snow with a plastic or rubber shovel to prevent scratches forming on the paving surface. Heavy metal shovels can cause damage and are not recommended.

Ice removal: do not use a metal pick to clear ice, as it can damage the pavement. To prevent ice formation, use sand or sand-salt mixture with low salt concentration. High salt concentrations can lead to efflorescence in the spring.

Surface maintenance: after the winter season, sweep the paving surface with a non-abrasive brush to remove accumulated dirt and sand. This will help maintain the appearance of the paving stones and prevent the growth of moss or algae.

Correct care of your paving will ensure it remains looking good and lasts a long time!
